About the lessons

How are these lessons different?

Every lesson teaches the rule first, then lets you practise — and every answer explains why it's right or wrong. The lessons were built and tested in real classrooms.

What makes I Learn English Here different?

It was built by an English teacher who sees the same mistakes in every class. Most English websites are made for people who already speak English. This site starts from the very first word and focuses on the part usual lessons skip: the common mistakes learners make, why they make them, breaking bad patterns, and understanding the why, how and when of English — not just memorising the pattern. Who makes the lessons?

A TEFL-certified English teacher who teaches beginner to pre-intermediate learners in Cambodia. The site is an Online Business Awareness project.

Will more lessons be added?

Yes. There are already 22 free lessons and missions in the lesson library, and more are on the way.

Teachers & parents

I'm a teacher. Can I use the lessons in my class?

Yes — you're welcome to open the lessons on your classroom screen and teach with them. Please link to this site rather than copying, selling or re-publishing the lessons.

How can I help my child use the site?

Sit together, read the examples out loud, and let your child tap the answers. Short sessions of 10–15 minutes a day work best.

Courses & the site

Is there a full course?

Yes. Learn British English: Speak Like a Local is on Udemy. Free places are sometimes available — see what's free right now.

Why are there ads?

The ads pay for the website so the lessons can stay free for everyone.
